People with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) often feel very tired, have pain, and need to use the bathroom quickly. Researchers made a program called IBD-BOOST to help them manage these problems and feel better, and they wanted to see if it works better than regular care.

Weekly azithromycin for 48 weeks impacts nasopharyngeal microbial prevalence and Streptococcus pneumoniae serotypes in children with HIV-associated chronic lung disease.

A lot of children with HIV have lung problems, and azithromycin can help reduce these problems. This study looked at how azithromycin affects germs in the lungs of kids from a trial. It found that azithromycin lowers certain bacteria while the kids are taking it, but these effects don’t last after they stop the medicine.
