It’s discouraging, I know. Some colleagues over at the Tango 2 Foundation have provided a nice form letter to and link to help contact your representatives and tell them to use the power of the Legislative Branch to stop this freaking insanity.

Here’s a script, but please modify to the science issue of your choice.

“Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I am a rare disease advocate from [Your City/State]. The recent cuts to biomedical research, including the firing of thousands of federal employees and the proposed reductions in NIH indirect costs, threaten rare disease research and impact [myself/my family]. These cuts will slow progress toward treatments and cures. Please support funding for biomedical research and help reverse these harmful cuts. Thank you.”

Make sure to leave your full address so your call is counted. Every call matters! Please share this message with your network and let us know if you’ve reached out or received feedback.
