Any Interest in Policy?

For a while now, I’ve been interested in Policy as a means of facilitating wide-scale change. This is particularly important to me, as I have a community-based backgroup and have worked in public health settings for the better part of the decade. But, with the incoming administration, maybe we need to pay closer attention to which initiatives or research trends are getting the most attention. AI seems a given, but there are probably others.
I found this chart from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute helpful. Science shouldn’t be a competition, but it clearly intersects with power and geo-politics. We know Trump’s rhetoric on China is pretty hard, so are these particular are ripe for additional funding? We’ll keep an eye on that, and will probably have more policy-focused coverage going forward.
